Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
Usually an end of season thread ... but our season IS effectively over

Zabaleta may decide for himself that he has had enough of Premier League football and Adrian may decide that he will never displace Fabianski (he won’t) but of the rest ..

Carroll : out of contract, physically shot, mentally never at it. Good riddance
Hernandez: expensive, half hearted , doesn’t suit our team. If Valencia want him now take the money & save £140k a week
Perez: not a striker , not a wide player. Find him a home in Spain & give Holland some games
Obiang: take the offer from Italy. Give Coventry some minutes if we need a back up
Masuaku: not a winger, certainly not a left back. Offload to France in the summer & replace with a left back. An actual left back
Ogbonna: jittery & error prone , not commanding in the slightest. Shift to Italy in the summer

Arnautovic: off to China

Any more?

Yes, dwarf is a meddler...he tàkes blind punts with no plan as to how they will fit in

I trust them as well, as long as they're given the freedom to do what THEY want.

Problem is, I don't think the dwarf cunt can stay away and allow MP to have FULL control.

IT will take time for MP to get HIS squad. This season was always going to be a transitional one.

I have faith in Pell and Husillos so they do need time but I think they are shocked at just how bad some players really are.

Husillos face looked like he had been garrotted on the bench at Wimbledon the other day and Pell was as pissed off as I have seen him.

V, the board have dictated to previous managers who to sign and not to sign.

That was a condition of MP coming here that he could do his own transfers/

That's the problem...when you keep on taking punts on nomadic journeymen who never settle anywhere they have been eventually you end up with a top heavy squad of inconsistency and mediocrity.

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
Sullivan imo backed his managers way too much, hence a transfer policy that has no continuity and is completely short-term focussed. Players brought in to keep managers in their job.

And from the sound of it, it's still the same policy.

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
Sullivan's back catalogue of signings has been utter carnage, he adopted a scatter gun approach in the hope that something may come off, just look at his record with strikers

I'm hopeful that Husillios and MP can get the players in to for the style that he wants to play.

Previously we just got whoever was available in, no wonder we have struggled for consistency

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
I know that players are often picked on the basis of how they train during the week or so goes the logic.

Historically some players were known to be awful trainers but when it came to the match were completely transformed. Managers knew this so cut them some slack during the week as long as they didn't take the piss too much. Has modern coaching lost some of the nuances to work this out?

Is there an argument to suggest we have players in our team who train well and play shit and others who might not look so hot in training but match day are better than a few of the regular picks. Creswell strikes me as one of those...maybe Musuaku and Perez and others train like demons but then come matchday...

Of course, Andy Carroll trains like shit and plays like shit...

If Cresswell isn't fit for the Liverpool surely the left back from the U23's is better than that awful cunt Masuaku.

Antonio hasn't done well since the spurious link to Chelsea a while back, seems to made him think he is better than he actually is at the moment.

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
Alex, even if he was paid £30 a week I wouldn't have him

He represents everything that is wrong about modern day footballers plus his style is just not suited to what we are trying to create under MP

The summer will be interesting as to how we develop our forwards approach

you think Carroll will come back. what, like Elvis in the late 60s? maybe he can play in a claret jumpsuit

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
In terms of players not having a future, you can never say never. Any player can have a future if they're hungry enough, fill a spot better than the alternative, offer decent value for their contribution. Snodgrass did just that in the Autumn.

Even Carroll - if he halved his wage demands, and came back to his better form before the Summer, I can see it making sense.

Antonio is a one season wonder. Should have sold him to palace when we had the chance.

you also think massuaku is a good left back, that says it all

I think Antonio's a striker, and shouldn't be played wide.

Takashi Miike 12:51 Wed Jan 30
Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
antonio's a tricky one as he has looked interested again recently but he has to play wide, he's never a striker

LeroysBoots 12:41 Wed Jan 30
Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
Mike, go along with that, though if we get a decent offer for Antonio I'd take it

I'd like us to build a new team around Rice, forget abut Noble now, he's not the future, we have to move on

Re: Players that don’t have a future at West Ham Utd
